The CycleIt all came to her like this:she remembered when she was a child coloring eggs
for Easter, wire spoons
left to dry on a newspaper.
before Sunday. And she
and she’d hide the yolk,
remembers the onion skins,
beautiful shades of brown,
variations of color,
And she remembers
with stories of
once they gave her an
out, filled with confetti,
relished in cracking
And now she stands
yellow and white,
of her. She can feel
the color, the stories,
And she puts breakfast once again
