[the Writing of Kuypers]
i pack my bags
you throw my bags
before you get more violent
i’m sitting in my car
see you at the window
why do i have to think
why do i come back,
what you’ve done to me,
you’re about to lose.
you’ll call me once
forgotten. other times,
i’ve come back. but i
to the ground, strangled.
lost that night, i’m
remember that you
i’m really going this time,
carry this with you,
the pain you’ve given me.

i’m really going this time
say i’m really going this time
scream at me to leave
and you mean it this time
outside the hotel
holding the drapes back
that means you care?
asking you if you realize
if you realize what
i’ll bet you think
and everything will be
yes, i’ve forgiven you.
can’t take being thrown
when i realize what i
scared. but i have to
lost more. you lost me.
and you won’t see me again.
always. this pain, like
you won’t see me. carry this.
