the Cycle of Life

when my mother died
that’s when the forest fire started
and the whole forest burned down
i know, i know, the cycle of life
i get it
but since then i’ve collected plants
i can’t let things die
my office is like a rainforest
& these hanging growing creatures
have taken over my home
i know, i get it, the cycle of life
but now that she’s gone
i want to make sure
that everything lives
