Where I Left Off
September 27, 1998
I’m considering this the beginning of time.
A lot of things in the world don’t make sense.
I could just write about nothing.
but still I get nothing
It’s like most of the things
in my life, sometimes.
Okay, my jewelry, for the most
part, is mostly gone
I’ve eaten extra eggs
and extra beet soup
and extra hardships
since I have been pent up here
It’s time for me to stop
and time for me to go away
and I never get the chance
to make my own decisions
and live my own life
I wonder when the world
is going to come back again
so I can pick up
where I left off
