This is video and portions of the Janet Kuypers live show in Chicago 09/10/02 called “Stop.” She performed many a poems and a number of covers (singing while her husband John Yotko played the guitar) all relating (somehow) to love). She also had a projected PowerPoint artwork display during her live performance. In part 1, the pieces performed include the intro and explanation, “Love Has Tendrils”, “Here It Goes Again”, the song “True Happiness This Way Lies” (originally by The The), “I am the Woman who Loves Pain”, and “Run Faster”. In part 2, the pieces performed include the song “Someday You’ll Call My Name” (originally by Hank Williams Sr.), the poems “Sorry Flowers”, “Never Did The Same”, the song “These Boots are Made for Walking” (originally by Nancy Sinatra), and the poems “You and Me and Your Girlfriend”, and “Who ou Tell Your Dreams To”. In part 3, the pieces performed include the poem “Loved You The Most”, portions of the song “Vintage Wine” (originally by Feedback), and the poems “All These Reminders” and “Number 136”. In part 4, the pieces performed include the song “ “Dreamlike State” (originally by Erasure), and the poems “With You”, “Waiting For You”, “Walking With You”, “Watching You”, and “Without You”. The ending of the show (with the songs “The Bottom Line” (originally by Depeche Mode) and “Love is Stronger than Death” (originally by The The), and the poem “How Do I Explain It”) was not placed into a youtube video. |

Pick up this CD of three bands playing music for the Stop. Look. Listen. show (bands Mom’s Favorite Vase, Weeds and Flowers, and The Second Axing). This collection “Stop.” was put on as a performance art SHOW in Chicago September 10, 2002, coupled with assorted songs related to the series of poems read. The CD “Stop. Look. Listen to the Music” is for sale at Amazon.com.
