Johnny Jump-Up has played the guitar for over 20 years, and can play the electric and the acoustic guitar (though we admit that he can’t play two guitars at the same time...) He’s got an amazing voice and amazing musical skill. Jump-Up has this uncanny ability to hear how the song could sound before he starts attempting to put the musical pieces together...
The Angel of Logan can sing and play the acoustic guitar (but she wants Johnny Jump-Up to do all the guitar playing), but her specialties lie in her sampling of music and her computer work in order to help make these songs great. She has sang in two acoustic bands in the past as well. |

(Approximately 2 minutes, between 40 and 50 seconds) The song was originally by Depeche Mode, off their album Black Celebration. Our version was recorded (once at a pond and once at a pool table playing pool) in Florida on 2/3/02. The lead singer remembers singing this song acapella to a number of people on different occasions outdoors in her college town at nights in an open amphitheatre. Did she ever think she’d be singing it on video while playing pool near the everglades in Florida. This song has also been played at the weekly open mike Sing Your Life. |

(Approximately 3 minutes, 04 seconds) The song was originally by R.E.M., off their album Life’s Rich Pageant. Our version was recorded in Florida by a pond on 02/02/02. An edited clip of Begin the Begin also was recorded in Myrtle Beach on 12/28/01. With this song being the favorite R.E.M. song in the lead singer’s opinion, she once heard a man at a party playing it on an acoustic guitar. She didn’t think it was possible, but Johnny Jump Up proved her wrong by playing it for them to perform. |

(Approximately 2 minutes, 57 seconds) The song was originally written in 1925. Our version was recorded in Florida in the beginning of February in 2001. No one could ever understand why the lead singer thought this song was perfect for her. But she worked hard all her life and was loved by all, but once she almost died no one came to take care of her or care about her less four friends. All the lead singer could think was that she had everything before, now she has to beg for someone to even notice her. Once she built everything, she had it all, but now that she needs people, she metaphorically asks if someone could give her the time. |

The song was originally by Leonard Cohen. Our version was recorded in their base studio on 1/28/01. It was originally recorded (and there is video footage...) in a bath tub in Pennsylvania 12/29/99. (Approximately 2 minute, 54 seconds) The lead singer only sang this song once before in her life, to a gentleman she would still dedicate the song to. It is funny how someone teaches you so much without knowing it; she would like to thank him for giving her so much in her life. This song has also been played at the weekly open mike Sing Your Life. |

(Approximately 2 minutes, 41 seconds) | The song was originally by Fiona Apple. Our version was recorded in Oahu on 11/25/01. The lead singer knew a woman once who loved this song; this woman thought it was perfect for her. Fiona Apple was not singing from a whore’s perspective though, so let it be known that The Second Axing would never think of a whore with sexually reansmitted diseases when they performed this song. Most everything is too good for her. This song was also recorded at the Ustabees concert April 8 2003. This song has also been played a number of other times at the weekly open mike Sing Your Life.

The song was originally by George Michael, off the album Listen Without Prejudice (Volume I). Our version was recorded in Florida on 2/3/02. Probably the lead singer’s favorite song, she thinks of how the lyrics were fitting to George Michael describing different parts of his career, but she also thinks it is somewhat fitting to her own history as a singer. The song was originally by Depeche Mode, off their album Ultra. This song was covered by this guest lead singer for a wedding in 2000, and was recorded in the beginning of 2001 because ... well ... because the singer and the music sounded so good together. Our version was recorded in their base studio on 1/12/01. Guest singer: Eugene Peppers; the female version was recorded 2/7/01. (Approximately 3 minutes, 17 seconds) A stripped live female vocals version was recorded on the beach in Oahu on 11/23/01. This song was also recorded in the Alaska concerts. This song has also been played at the weekly open mike Sing Your Life. |

Rather read it? Then check out the original writing |
Though this news story poem was writen in 2005, Kuypers only partially explained that reading this poem as a broadcast journalist was appropriate for this News/EditorialJournalism major, who previously has had regular articles in a newspaper as well as photography, but also even had weekly column. Currently “the boss lady’s editorials” appear semi-regularly in cc&d magazine, and her essays and editorials appear in books such as the Boss Lady’s Editorials or the Boss Lady’s Editorials (the 2005 Expanded Edition), and the upcoming book Adolph Hitler, O. J. Simpson and U.S. Politics. |

(Approximately 2 minutes, 13 seconds) The song was originally by The The, off their album Dusk. Our version was recorded on the beach in Florida in the beginning of February in 2001. A song that past guitarist would not touch because they thought it was too difficult, Johnny Jump UP learned the song in a few hours without having the chords written down, as Angel of Logan and her roommate went car shopping. This song was also recorded in the Alaska concerts. |

The song was originally by Nirvana, and was released on the collection CD No Alternative, which soared the sales of the CD. Because Nirvana had another song of the same title, it was later titled Sappy. Our first version was recorded at the open mic in Chicago at the Café in honor of Warren Peterson (because originally the singer performed this song with him in the acoustic alternative 1990s band Mom’s Favorite Vase). |
