Volume 59 of cc&d magazine had artwork of 50s-styled characters talking on the phone. John and Jane jokingly asked about the news, and a thought bubble for a man at the bottom of the cover said, “finally, literature for the snotty and elite” as a hysterical tongue-in-cheek issue cover in 1995.     Janet Kuypers (the editor of cc&d magazine), while working on a book design for a collection of poems by C Ra McGuirt of his writings that have appeared in issues of cc&d magazine, was adjusting images of past covers to appear in the future for C Ra McGuirt collection book. When she saw the cover page for Volume 59 (saying “finally, literature for the snotty and elite”), she thought that maybe she should use this joking issue cover for a collection book of her own writings that have appeared in cc&d magazine.     So Scars Publications thought it was a good idea to do this, but then realized that there are a lot of writings from the editor in the over 200 issues (issues appearing in print issues, performance art show chapbooks and poetry chapbooks, and in collection books of issues). So Scars opted to release multiple volumes of these writings.     A set of two 6"x9" volumes of this book were created as Finally,Literature for the Snotty and Elite (v1) and Finally,Literature for the Snotty and Elite (v2) (each with different colored notebook paper backgrounds, but of the same 50s-styled characters talking and mockingly making proclamations). But with new differences in printing options now available, Scars Publications decided to also release this set as a 3 volume 5.5"x8.5" book (where eaxch volume has a different title and different cc&d cover)..     So Scars Publications is honored to release Finally, Literature for the Snotty and Elite (volume 1) the Janet Kuypers 2008 collection book of some of her writings that have appeared in issues and supplements of cc&d magazine.     You think we’re joking when we say this should appear in two volumes? Well, although volume 2 is smaller, volume 1 is 634 pages crammed-full of poetry from all the way back to Volume 1 (released in June 1993), all the way through to Volume 133 (released January 2004). Volume 2 contains writings from Volume 134 (the February 22 2004 issue) through issue #200 (Released in September 2009).     To look to see what writings of Janet Kuypers appear in these volumes, check out cc&d magazine issues 001-133 (which even includes the collection books Warm & Fuzzy, Survive & Thrive, Torture & Triumph and oh.     With the weight of this volume, and the poetry jam-packed into this book (which even has a small image of the issue cover appearing before the poems from the issue appear!), this is a must-have collection book for anyone interested in cc&d magazine, the writing of Janet Kuypers, or even for any cc&d magazine aficionado.     In the digest-sized 5.5"x8.5" edition of “Finally, Literature for the Snotty and Elite” (which had 360 pages and contains the yellow background color similar to volume 2 of the 6"x9" edition), there is poetry a(and occasional prose) from Volume 1 (released in June 1993) through Volume 69 (released in October 1995). Additional volumes of this collecion (with different names) will contain writings from additional issues of cc&d magazine.
